This is one of the best instrumental albums I've ever heard! It opened up another dimension within my mind (pun intended). I can only hope one day a Liquid Tension Experiment 3 will be realeased!

I first found out this album when I was still in high school, and let me tell you, I've listened to it religiously for almost 10 years. Every aspect of both of their records is mind blowing and its without a doubt a gem that not a lot of people get to see. So please, do yourself a favor and get this.. you will not regret it and I'm sure you will listen to it countless times, again and again!

This album is one of the most diverse, yet consistently great albums I have ever heard. When the Water Breaks and Chewbacca are both incredible pieces of music with great leads throughout. Biaxident and 914 are both very groovy with 914 being very rhythmically driven. Liquid Dreams is a beautiful ballad by Jordan Ruddess and Hourglass is also beautiful but on the slower sappier side. But the best song has to be Acid Rain which is so tight, yet so crazy it creates an absolute masterpiece. All in all this album is great and you shouldn't be turned off by the lighter (or heavier) side because each shine wonderfully.
Just Keeps Getting Better

You know, it's funny. The older I get (I'm 40 now) the more I hear people saying "they just don't make good music like they used to..." LTE, Dream Theater, Opeth, and Porcupine tree prove that as time goes on the musicians just keep getting better. I've always loved Dream Theater, so LTE was a pretty easy buy, but the music is simply amazing in ways DT doesn't normally aspire to. Which means a lot, because DT is more creative and talented than the combined talents of any 50 other bands out there. OK, Opeth is up there too. I mean think about it. If you're my age, you grew up on Metallica and AC/DC. Good stuff, but you start to "have heard it all" after a couple albums, right? I challenge anyone my age who used to listen to rock to buy this LTE album and listen through. If you are unable to hear pure talent, virtuosity and creativity, mayhap you should get your hearing checked...

Holy crap. I can't even begin to describe this album. It's so incredible! It's immensely technical, but it's so perfect to listen to! Buy it!
