My all-time favorite Christmas song is WHAT CHILD IS THIS? and I can't seem to be satisfied with any other version besides Mahalia Jackson's. I grew up with mostly classical, 50s, even ABBA on records and reel-to-reels, and this song from my childhood has become a necessity every Christmas, or else it just doesn't feel right.
