A radio station from my youth ran a survey of its listeners as to what album they would keep if they had to dispose of all but one. Aja would definitely be a keeper. Beautifully and artistically well composed and performed. A timeless classic.

How is this disco/jazz wannabe rock getting all this praise? It’s just the band wanting to stay relevant with the growing disco garbage of the time! This is a hard pass for rock fans!

I’m no music critic but I bought this (on vinyl) when it was released in the late 70s. My favorite Steely Dan album. A great choice when you just want to relax and listen to the sound from a great era in music. Not manufactured but composed and performed using the skills and souls of the artists. A great group of songs to lose yourself in.
