RIP Chester, your music and struggles with depression I related to so hard through my high school years, LP helped me through it. I am choosing life and to keep going. No one will ever replace you, but after much hesitation, I’m deciding to give Emily a chance. ✌🏻🤟🏻 💐
As Good As Ever

Just listened to some samples. Linkin Park still has that sound I loved in middle school. So happy they’re still making music. I think Emily is a fantastic addition to the band. I can’t wait to download “The Emptiness Machine.” Already hooked on it!
Welcome back!

I see so many people wanting things to remain the same when the co-founding lead singer is no longer with us. People have said some really ugly things, but I think this is a really solid album. If people actually read or listened to interviews Emily has done, she never wanted to replace Chester, but she wanted to use her voice to do the very best she could to keep his memory living on when they play the older music live. It's hard coming in and being a new person stepping into some big shoes. I personally think she's done great and I keep this album on repeat. The band doesn't deserve to sit in silence because someone is missing from the original lineup. Chester will never be replaced. Emily is a great choice to join the band and keep it going. Welcome back! -an OG LP fan.
Not a fan

Not even hating cause she’s the replacement for Chester just can’t stand her raspy sounding voice and this doesn’t even sound like linkin park sound at all. Wouldn’t listen to this at all but if you enjoy this good for you I guess. This will never beat meterora or hybrid theory, huge downgrade.
Change the Name of the Band

This is not Lincoln Park. Chester is rolling over in his grave hearing this garbage.
From the Ashes

Scew the hate. "Heavy is the Crown" and "Cut the Bridge" would have been fan favorites all the way back to Hybrid Theory and if you're denying that, its on you. I've been listening to Emily on Dead Sara for years and found her to be a voice that shatters the monotomy of modern Rock, a bastion that has finally been infiltrated by the same homogonization that killed so many other genres. Chester is a beloved friend whose voice saw me through so many trials, but he is gone. I will forever cherish and be thankful for the time he gave us, but Linkin Park deciding to carry on with Emily as the new voice and that decision is not a failure in any way. She's amazing with them and her poignant tone carries emotions other modern bands wish they could exude.
The new singer nailed the sound

I have to say I loved Linkin Park before and I still love it now. It’s different but they have stayed true to the sound. I always was and will be a fan of Linkin Park!
I mean, it is LINKIN PARK, but…

On the Apple Music “About” page for LP, it says that the OG members of the band made a pact: that they wouldn’t curse in any of their songs. However, “The Emptiness Machine” and a few others do have curses in them, which is sad to hear/know as a LINKIN PARK fan. Sure, Emily Armstrong has a great voice, but it just isn’t (and will probably never be) the LP I used to know. There will just never be the perfect replacement for Chester. It’s really sad that he died, we will all miss him. 🪦
Sorry, 2024 LP, but you just aren’t for me anymore.
Linkin park is back!

I carefully listened every song. And I truly appreciate Emily’s voice. Damm! she really can sing. I understand that Chester is irreplaceable however, I’m sure he would agree that Em gets the job done.
Great album .
