    • Beautiful Composition

This piece by Michael John Trotta is a glorious musical depiction of the last seven words [phrases] spoken by Christ upon the cross. The sweeping melodic lines and lush harmonies not only make this piece beautiful, but they stir up an emotional connection to the music and text that is indescribable. I highly recommend this piece for anyone who loves choral music or is looking for something special for the Maubdy Thursday/Good Friday services.

The CD is a fine representation of Trotta's inspired score, a much-awaited addition to the sacred choral repertoire. I highly recommend this CD, an emotionally evocative, musically outstanding, and spiritually uplifting recording of this important new score.

This piece takes one to the pain and agony of the cross. The emotional ebb and flow is expressed cleanly in the choral group. The composition by Trotta takes the one-dimensional text to multi-dimensional transcendence!
