You may be familiar with this song as performed by DC-Talk from their Jesus Freak album from 1996. Or more recently by the Newsboys remix of it in the Michael Tate era of the Newsboys. Or the original version by Charlie Peacock from the Love Life album.
This could be called the "unplugged" version of that song. Charlie takes his instant classic from 1992 to the Americana Country sound that has been so popular for the past decade. It is a musically introspective treatment of the song, a 180 on the original version. The guitar, mandolin and piano masterfully set the mood as Charlie hauntingly sings the wonderful lyrics.
