      This the exact same album also offered on a Naxos pressing for about half the price and also offered on I Tunes. My review of that album applies here as well--this is music of much gesture--imitation Mozart sucked-out of all the genius, but very well-played by the Slovak Radio Orchestra in genuinely idiomatic performances which do as much as can be done for Salieri. Salieri's music sounds like Mozart without the spark of genius, all the right ideas, thundering proclamations, but no real glory. A fine album of thoroughly mediocre music.
