I luv this sh!t!! Super high, super loud, it engulfs you. Just sit back, listen and let your mind do the rest. For similar yet calming and more relaxed (which you'll need after listening to Wolf Eyes) listen to Planivaar

The first time I heard this, it came off to me as very amateur and minimalist. Then I heard Black Vomit. Fantastic song. Absolutely grueling. It was less criptic and confusing that the previous songs and revealed the wonderful talent Wolf Eyes hides under their messy coat. The knowledge that Wolf Eyes IS capable of creating such a brutal, dark atmosphere like that of Black Vomit helped me appreciate the album upon further listens. Everything has been carefully crafted despite all the abrupt noise and muddy chaos. You just can't always hear it right away. The repetitive and blurry ugliness of Burned Mind is not due to a lack of patience or musical ability, my friends. It is an artform.

Wow, this is even worse than rap. These people obviously don't know what real music is.

Metal dudes in goofy costumes singing about Satan. Not scary. Tattooed hardcore kids yelling about their girlfriends. Not scary. Weird indie dudes screaming incomprehensively over hellish electronic noise. Very scary. Wolf Eyes will scare the crap out of your loved ones. That is why they are great.

Noise is meant to streach the boundries of what can be considered art, (much the same way as the work of jackson pollock) The trully Avantgarde is rarely meant not to be accepted. If you dont like it then dont listen to it! You can listen to the samples! If you dont like how it sounds then why would you own it.

I bought this album to get into the noise genre, and I find it to be amazing. I was never aware random sounds could sound so good when put toghether. It is dark and eerie for the most part but if that is what you like then buy this album.

Well I can't say I love it. I expected some Indie..maybe like Wolf Parade, cuz they are both SubPop. It is just a lot of noise, kinda cool...but not exactly great music in my opinion. But apparently they have a fan base, because SubPop gave them a lable. Another thing I don't like is the track names..sounds like some violent metal band...like maybe Cannibal Corpse? or Gwar even?
    • Not at all what I expected

I bought this abum on a whim one day for twelve dollars. I hated it. The entire album is just weird noises and odd silences. I understand that this is from the "noise genre," but I just don't like it. I was expecting some dark alternative maybe even industrial rock. If you're into weird noises, go ahead and eat this album up. Also, do not confuse these guys with Wolf Parade. They are both on Sub Pop and both have Wolf in their names. Just a fair warning.
