If for no other reason than to listen to and study the Derek Bourgious Concerto, buy this album! The Bourgious has popped up on almost every national and international trombone competition over the past few years. It is the new tour de force, so all students of the trombone should own this album for study and enjoyment!

this is perhaps one of the greatest trombone cd's ever published. Joe Alessi never ceases to amaze me, and I found my new favorite song on this album, which is concerto for trombone Op 114b number 3. This song murders blue bells and anything else you may have previously thought impressive or impossible on the trombone. I want to play it for my 12th grade Jury. ENJOY!
